This April 10th, Absolute Texxas will be hosting its 3rd Annual St. Jude Volleyball Classic at Aussie's Grill & Beach Bar. The tournament benefits St. Jude Children's Research Hospital where everyday they work to research, treat, and cure children with cancer and other catastrophic diseases. St. Jude is the only pediatric cancer research center in the country that will treat children who are not completely covered by insurance. No child is ever turned away if the family is unable to fund treatment. For a diagnoses of Acute lymphoblastic leukemia, the most common form of childhood cancer, St. Jude has a 94% survival rate. To treat these children, it costs almost $1.5 million dollars a day to run St. Jude and this is almost completely funded by the public. This is where your contributions can help cure children.

The tournament contains 20 teams who battle through a round-robin style bracket for prizes, a giant trophy, champion t-shirts, and the glory as champions! Aussie's will be running drink specials all day and there will be a raffle for prizes including autographed Longhorn baseball gear, an Apple iPod, and much more. Alongside the volleyball tournament, there will be a music festival with acts including Brian Pounds and many other local Austin bands performing while the tournament plays.

So even if your not an ace at serving, come out and grab a bite to eat, some cold beer, and watch some volleyball while listening to some great local Austin music and helping children who need help!
